Don’t just take our word for it…
I found this house to be full of charm & warmth, the kind that you only find in historical gems . It is open, inviting, and stocked with everything you could want or need. This unique quaintness isn’t limited to the interior, I absolutely loved the porches & fenced in yard , notably the very private porch just off the dining room. As for location, you absolutely can not find better, the neighborhood is amazing and walking distance to so much & just a few miles from downtown and several grocery stores! And it has a dedicated parking spot, a real bonus in an urban environment.

This is one of my favorite stays so far. Isabel is such a perfect host. She was so proactive, always there with the best attitude to answer my questions and comments. The cottage is spotless clean and the linens are soft and very nice to sleep in. The beds are very comfy. The cottage has such great light in the morning and is very peaceful at night, even though it is off a main street. The neighbors are so nice and welcoming since I stayed a month it was good to know we had them near. I look forward to coming back soon!

Isabel’s place is more than a cottage. It’s a cozy oasis! We actually live in the area but needed an Airbnb for a few months. Some highlights of our stay included the well-equipped and sunny kitchen, the charming neighborhood and great neighbors, and the fabulous landscaping, from the tulip tree in spring to the summer blueberries! The home is tucked away and private yet in seriously one of the best locations in Asheville. The home has many nooks outdoors: 2 spots on the front porch, the hidden side porch, and the al fresco dining spot out back. And Isabel is organized, a great communicator, and accommodating - the best combo in a host.

Five stars all around - this place is a gem. Starting with the host, Isabel was an absolute pleasure to interact with- friendly, responsive and flexible. The actual cottage is really wonderful. My wife and I were there for a long stay in fall of 2023, and felt right at home. The three bedrooms are well-acquainted, and we were able to configure the space in a way that easily enabled us to do our jobs remotely (and the wifi was very reliable). We loved the cozy living room, the front and side porches (the hanging swing is delightfully relaxing) and the backyard patio area. Lastly, the location is fantastic. The cottage is walking distance to a number of great restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops, the Asheville Brewhouse cinema (which we loved!), and just about every store/service you might need (grocery stores, pharmacies, bank, cleaners, etc). It's also a short walk to Beaver Lake and the UNC Asheville campus, which is lovely to stroll (and has a great observatory for sunsets).

We had a wonderful stay at Isabel’s cottage. Everything was exactly as pictured and described (if not better), and Isabel is a fantastic host! She’s incredibly responsive and thoughtful. The cottage is walking distance to many restaurants and other businesses and the neighborhood is so peaceful and quaint. There’s a beautiful fenced in backyard if you have pets and plenty of space to spread out. The beds are super comfortable and the house comes equipped with all of the amenities you could need. I highly recommend the Lookout Cottage and can’t wait to come back in the future!!

Isabel and Michael’s Asheville cottage is a dream. I stayed there for six weeks and enjoyed it immensely. The house itself is charming and well-appointed and comes with all the nice touches you expect from a good AirBnB experience (good coffee, fully equipped kitchen, ample linens, etc.). The neighborhood is amazing: you’ll be surrounded by friendly neighbors who wave, say hi, and make you feel at home. It’s also very easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Downtown Asheville is too far to walk, but there are gorgeous and easy neighborhood walks for dogs and exercise. Also: Isabel is wonderful. She’s a friendly and terrific communicator, and we stayed in touch through the duration of my visit. I would recommend the experience to anyone interested in visiting Asheville!
